Off to Italy on Sunday; yes, what a whirlwind. I just returned home (from Italy!) with two kids and my buddy. Now, less than a week later, back to Rome, then Sardinia for a monumental ride across Sardinia. Four years ago I rode the east coast–this time I conquer the west.

After the week of riding, I am renting a room in Cagliari (city in south Sardinia) where I will recoup from a crazy semester teaching young writers: My bike and a room near the ocean. Ahhh. That takes me to June where I will travel to Croatia for a month staying on two different farms. Stay tuned. If it’s anything like my previous trips, I’m in for a rip roarer.
